PresidentDonald Trump’s government is beginning to take form followinghis inauguration on Jan. 20, but he is still waiting for a few key players to join the team.
A large number of government positions require the U.S. Senate’s approval, including every Cabinet secretary and other Cabinet-level officials.
In order to be formally hired, Trump’s nominees must first undergo confirmation hearings, where senators can grill them on their qualifications and confront them with any concerns.

After a long road, a 12-year-old dog has finally found a loving forever home.
Chessie’s journey to safety wasn’t easy. In aFacebook post in mid-October, the shelter recounted the pup’s harrowing tale: After receiving a community complaint from local law enforcement officials, the shelter’s Animal Law Enforcement team investigated what they believed to be an incident of “dogs and cats living in disrepair.”
“When we went to check it out, it was worse than we could have imagined,” the shelter wrote, calling the animals' living conditions a “house of horrors” — “filled with trash, excrement, barely any food or water, and heartbreakingly, several deceased animals.

Serena Pitt and Joe Amabileare still head over heels for one another.
“There’s so many things about him that I thought may die off after the honeymoon stage,” Pitt says. “Joe still just continues to surprise me with little gifts and thoughtful gestures and that really is who he is, and I love that.”
