A preliminary safety report from the Federal Aviation Administration reportedly found that air traffic control staffing was abnormally low atRonald Reagan Washington National Airporton the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 29, according toThe New York Times, which obtained a copy of the report.
The collision, near the Washington, D.C., airport, involved aU.S. Army Black Hawk Helicopter colliding with an American Airlines commercial flight, resulting in the presumed death of 67 people.

Star Jonesis reflecting on having open-heart surgery 14 years ago, and how that fueled her public advocacy to encourage others to prioritize their health.
“They opened up my chest, cracked it and disconnected my heart for 22 minutes," she said, before joking, “But like I say, they put it back in so don’t trip.”
“Heart disease is still the number one killer of women, still the number one killer of Americans, still the number one killer of African Americans,” she explained.

“Yesterday morning I had a beautiful Spanish cottage that gave me endless joy, where I met my husband and raised my son,” she wrote.

Before she learned her home was destroyed, she revealed that her home had stood for 100 years. “So scared! My beautiful Spanish house has survived 100 years!

Starbucks’winter menu has some first-ever additions and fan-favorite items.Starting on Friday, Jan. 3, the Pumpkin Spice Latte founders are giving customers some new and returning drinks and snacks to kick off the new year.The coffee chain is adding two types of cortados to its permanent lineup: a cortado and a Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado. Cortado is an espresso-based drink originally from Spain that combines shots of espresso and steamed milk.

Starbucks' customers have to wake up and smell the coffee!
A purchase will have to be made and a new code of conduct followed, to be able to use the cafe’s toilets or sit and have a chat as of Jan. 27.
“The code of conduct is displayed in our stores to remind customers of the role they play in creating a community coffeehouse that is inviting and welcoming," it concluded.
