The man accused of setting fire to a womanand killing her on a subway train in Brooklyn has been indicted on murder and arson charges, the Brooklyn District Attorney announced Dec. 27.
A grand jury on Friday returned an indictment against Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, 33, charging him with one count of first-degree murder, three counts of second-degree murder and one count of first-degree arson.

Update: At a press conference on Friday, Jan. 10, Dominic Choi, assistant chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, said there was “not enough probable cause to arrest [the suspect] on arson or suspicion of arson.”
Instead, said Choi, the suspect was a arrested on a felony probation violation.

Police have identified Luigi Mangione, 26, as the suspect held in connection with the fatal shooting of Brian Thompson, the UnitedHealthcare CEO who was fatally shot in Manhattan last week, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed at a press conference on Monday, Dec. 9.
Mangione was detainedon Monday at an Altoona, Pa., McDonalds after an employee spotted him eating and notified police, authorities confirmed to PEOPLE.
He was discovered in possession of a 9mm “ghost gun” similar to that used to shoot Thompson, multiple fake IDs including a N.
