Toto Guitarist Says He Tried to 'Be Friendly' with Rivers Cuomo After Weezer Covered 'Africa' but 'It Just Got Weird'

Weezer’s “Africa” arrived in 2018 after a 14-year-old fan wrote on social media, “@RiversCuomo it’s about time you bless the rains down in Africa,” prompting the band to record a version of the 1982 hit.

Tourist Seriously Injured on Vacation After She Approached Shark for a Picture, Authorities Say

The incident happened in Blue Hills, Providenciales, at approximately 10:30 a.m. local time on Friday, Feb. 7,the government said in a Facebook post. The victim was taken to Cheshire Hall Medical Centre where she was stabilized and later transported off the island for further medical care.

On Wednesday, Feb. 19, Olga Perminova was traveling on the Podi Menike rail line when she tried to take a selfie while hanging from the train’s footboard, according to the localDaily Mirrornewspaper, which cited Hali Ela Police.

After Ater rushed back into his apartment to call 911, he emerged with a fire extinguisher to help put out the fire that started after the car came to a rest, according to the report.
