After helping Free Willy taste freedom, Dave Phillips is working to give two other orcas a life outside captivity,
Phillips, a director of theInternational Marine Mammal Projectat Earth Island Institute, was one the first people tapped to help with the ambitious project of returning the whale actor fromFree Willyto the wild.
The orca Keiko was taken from the wild as a young whale before spending most of his life in captivity.

A whale-watching tour company in Northern California captured rare footage of a dolphin super pod — featuring about 2,000 dolphins breaching off of the coast of Monterey.
According to theAssociated Press, Monterey Bay Whale Watch boat captain and videographer Evan Brodsky was sailing near Monterey Bay, about 100 miles away from San Francisco, on Friday, Feb. 21, when he encountered the super pod — which included the rare northern right whale dolphin.
