Earlier this summer,Cara Isaacswas at a garage sale when she came across a pair of Life Stride booties. The shoes still had the tissue paper inside the boot and wrapped around the boot tassels, and were on sale for only $2.
The Chicago local decided to purchase them as a gift for her mother-in-law, and gave them to her during the holidays. Upon opening the box, Isaacs told her to let her know if they didn’t fit.

A woman is speaking candidly about the anxiety she is facing tied to attending a party as a “fat” individual.
In a post on theU.K.-based forum Mumsnet, the woman wrote that her friend is planning to throw an anniversary party and told their group it would have a costume theme.
While their posse was very excited about the gathering, the woman said she was not. “I’m fat. I’m 5’2” and [224 lbs.

A Massachusetts mom is speaking out after a piece of a power tool crashed through her windshield while she traveled to Disney World with her family.
Higgins said she heard “the loudest bang you could imagine” before she was hit in the face with the object — a seven-inch power tool battery.
“I was like, did I really? Is this really happening? It didn’t seem real,” the mom recalled, WHDH reported.

A woman says she is refusing to support her aging parents because theyrefused to support herat a pivotal time earlier in life.
The woman, however, says that she opted topursue art school. She writes that her parents refused to support the decision — both emotionally and financially — and says they said it was “my choice” and, therefore, “my responsibility.”
“So I worked as a broke college student [barely] making ends meet whilst juggling working 2-3 part time jobs and keeping up my grades,” she continued, adding that she now owns a small art program.

The 29-year-old detailed her story in a thread on Reddit’s popular“Am I the A——”forum on Wednesday, Feb 5, explaining that her mother-in-law visits her 5-month-old daughter’s daycare “at least once a week” and “spends 30 minutes to an hour just playing with my daughter.”
The woman also said that — as aformer daycare workerherself — she “would have hated having someone just come in and spend time with a child because now not only do they have infants to watch, but now they have to work around a fully grown woman and make sure that she isn’t taking pictures/videos of other babies as well.
