The woman shared her story on Reddit’s popular“Am I the A——?”forum on Jan. 8, explaining that she used to be in a “pretty serious relationship” with her good friend’s brother.
She wrote that she andher ex broke upover four years ago, and noted that their split was “quite amicable on both sides.”
“While I wouldn’t call us friends," she added, “we still wish each other happy birthdays and happy holidays when they come around.

A woman says that she and her fiancé don’t want to apologize to her fiancé’s mom after they called her out for announcing theirengagement newsearly — despite pressure from her fiancé’s father to say sorry.
The woman detailed the situation in a recent post on Reddit’s“Am I the A——”forum, where community members can go to seek out advice on interpersonal issues. In the post, the 20-year-old writes that she and her now-fiançé — also 20 — recently got engaged.

A woman is frustrated that her boyfriend hasn’t “kept to his timeline” on their plans to get engaged.
The woman shared that Jeremy’s reasoning for not wanting to get engaged yet is that he wants to pay off some debts before buying a ring for her. “But we are both saving and living well below our means, and I don’t want anything expensive,” she pointed out, while complaining that the two don’t seem to share the same priorities.

Sometimes, celebrating the holidays can get awkward.
In apost on Reddit’s popular AITA forum, a 36-year-old woman said she had found herself in the middle of some unexpected Christmas drama between her husband, his ex-wife and the pair’s daughter.
“They don’t have a ‘friendly’ relationship,” the woman wrote, but she added that “they’re cordial” for the sake of their daughter Jenna.
“Despite this, they both agreed that they never wanted their daughter to have to choose between them for the big holidays and so they’ve been spending every Thanksgiving and Christmas together for the last 19 years, with me joining the last 4,” the woman added.

Although she doesn’t have kids just yet, one woman said her mom has already made it clear she doesn’t want to be called “grandma” — but there are some issues with her proposed nickname.
In aposton Reddit’s AITA forum, the 29-year-old woman said that she’s been thinking about starting a family, and her mom, 50, indicated that when that day comes, she wanted to be called something “uniquely different” from others: “Honey.
