A Michigan woman is detailing the shock she felt after learning her tonsils had grown back decades after getting them removed.Katy Golden, from Detroit, was just 5 years old when her mother took her to get her tonsils removed in the summer of 1983 after having inner ear problems since she was an infant. A new study out of the University of California San Francisco indicates that women’s brains might be better suited for aging than men’s — and it’s all thanks to a “silent” chromosome.Females have two X chromosomes, and, for a long time, scientists believed the second X chromosome — referred to as a “sleeping” or “silent” chromosome — was essentially pointless.

The incident — which also killed a man — occurred as a thunderstorm broke out during a women’s soccer game in the village of El Real, Casas Bajas, in the municipality of Cajibío, Colombia, on Sunday, Feb, 9, local newspaperCauca Hoyand U.K. outletNational Worldreported.
The women were sheltering from the storm under a tree.
“The women were participating in a football tournament when the emergency occurred," government spokesman Lesly Valencia said, per National World.
