At least 16 people were hurt when an overcrowded roof collapsed at a party near the University of Pittsburgh.
According to apress releasefrom the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, just before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14, the University of Pittsburgh Police, Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS responded to reports of a “porch collapse with injuries” at the 300 block of Semple Street in Central Oakland.

Dozens of people have been injured in Munich, Germany after a car plowed into a crowd just one day before U.S. Vice PresidentJ.D. Vanceand other world leaders are scheduled to attend a major security conference in the city.
Police in Munich, Germany shared onsocial mediathat 28 people were injured after a man drove a car and struck pedestrians in the Seidlstraße area at around 10:30 a.m. local time. They identified the suspect as a 24-year-old man of Afghan nationality, though they did not release his name.

At least four people have died after a gas explosion tore through a busy shopping mall in Taiwan this week.
The post stated that the “government immediately set up an explosion disaster response.”
According to theAssociated Press, the blast happened at a food court for the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi store.
The news agency added that four people had been killed and a further 26 had been injured, citing the Taichung Fire Bureau.

At least six people are dead as Winter Storm Blair marches across the mainland United States, bringing dangerous snow and ice along with it.
This deadly winter storm has impacted more than a dozen states from coast to coast since Saturday, Jan. 4, and is currently bearing down on portions of the East Coast.
Michael Taylor, a long-haul driver from Los Angeles, was just one of many truckers who got off the road amid the storm, according to theAssociated Press.

At least 95 people have reportedly died and 130 others have been injured after an earthquake hit western China on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Around 9 a.m. local time, the earthquake struck Tibet’s holy city of Shigatse, according to theBBC.
Multiple aftershocks affected the “high-altitude region of western China and across the border in Nepal,” theAssociated Pressreported.
According to the BBC, that tremors were also felt in parts of India.
