The parents of a diabetic child whose insulin was withdrawn due to their belief that God would heal her have been sentenced in Australia.
According to theAustralian Broadcasting Corporation(ABC) andThe Sydney Morning Herald,Jason Struhs, 53, and Kerrie Struhs, 49, were sentenced on Wednesday, Feb. 26, to more than 14 years each in prison for manslaughter after their 8-year-olddaughter Elizabeth Struhsdied from diabetic ketoacidosis in 2022.

A Utah teen died, and another is recovering, after the two boys fell through an icy pond in Utah.
Lt. Will Farr of the Ogden Police Department tells PEOPLE that local officials received a call at 4:30 p.m. local time on Monday, Jan. 27, sending over an emergency dive team to rescue the teens.
A city spokesman told the outlet that teen was taken to a local hospital and treated for mild hypothermia.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death of Eric Harper, NBC affiliateWSAZand Fox affiliateWDKYreported.
The coroner’s office said Eric died at the scene, the outlet added.
According to hisobituary, Eric was born in Louisa and “loved the outdoors, riding 4 wheelers and enjoying the hills.”
His sister Cortney wrote in aGoFundMefundraiser to help pay for expenses and the boy’s headstone that the Eric’s older brother Steven died in 2023.

A 14-year-old Indian math prodigy known as the “Human Calculator” says yoga meditation keeps his brain nimble.
Aaryan Shukla, of Maharashtra, India, recently broke six world records in math in one day, according toGuinness World Records.
In a video displaying Shukla’s acumen, the teen is seen answering complex math problems faster than a man inputting them into a calculator.
As he sets the first record, the boy can be seen mentally computing 100 four-digit numbers that flash on a screen while he waves his hands in quick succession.
