15 Injured, 2 Seriously, After South Korea Fighter Jets Accidentally Drop 8 Bombs Over Village: Reports

At least 15 people have been injured after two fighter jets in South Korea accidentally dropped eight bombs in a civilian district, according to local media reports. On Thursday, March 6, at approximately 10 a.m. local time, the Air Force KF-16 aircrafts mistakenly released the bombs outside a designated training range during live-fire drills, per local news agencyYonhap, citing military officials and fire authorities. The bombings took place over a village in Pocheon, which is approximately 25 miles north of Seoul, according to the news agency.

15-Year-Old Boy Impaled on Wrought Iron Fence Rescued by New York City Firefighters

A 15-year-old boy from Ridgewood, Queens, is in stable condition after he fell on a wrought iron fence on Tuesday, Feb. 4, causing a spike to go through his left leg, authorities said. “We had a call for a 15-year-old impaled on a fence,” New York City Fire Department Assistant Chief John Sarrocco said at anews conference. “We were able to extricate that 15-year-old from the fence [and] give critical care on the scene.

Police were working with Union Pacific Railroad police to get video footage, but Elsbury called Rodriguez’s death “a tragic accident.” A representative with the Houston Police Department did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for additional information.
