Thirty detention officers who worked in a California juvenile hall have been indicted on several charges after prosecutors claimed they facilitated “gladiator fights” between minors, according to authorities.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta shared in apress releaseon Monday, March 3, that his office had unsealed a grand jury indictment against 30 officers who worked at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Downey, California, on charges of child endangerment and abuse, conspiracy and battery.

Thirty-three Israeli hostages are expected to be released fromHamas, mediators announced, through an emerging ceasefire deal to pause the fighting.
The release of the hostages comes as part of an agreement — the first phase of which is set to include a 42-day ceasefire — that reached its final stages on Wednesday, Jan. 15,according to The Associated Press.
