The women were found conscious and breathing after their “extreme fall” near Hole 17 on the Quarry Golf Course at Black Diamond Ranch when emergency assistance arrived, according to authorities.

However, poor weather conditions prevented air rescue from assisting, the fire department said. Thanks to help from Black Diamond Ranch maintenance workers, a “low-angle rescue” was successfully completed using golf carts to extricate the women from the quarry.
