A 4-year-old Florida boy died after accidentally shooting himself with a gun he allegedly found under a car seat.

Citing police, WFLA reported that Chosen’s family was getting ready to go out for pizza when he excitedly got into the car before his family. The outlet reported that the boy’s mother was on her computer when she heard a pop.

After discovering her other two children in the living room with headphones on, she went out to the garage, seeing that the door was open, the outlet reported.

Inside the car, Chosen’s mother found him in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound to the head, police said, WFLA and Fox 13 reported.

Police said the boy discovered a handgun under the driver’s seat, the outlets reported.

Chosen was reportedly taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
