An elderly woman was robbed of her lottery winnings moments after collecting them from a store in Florida, authorities said.

The incident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at a store on Curry Ford Road, near the intersection with S. Goldenrod Road in Orlando, Fla., according to aFacebook postfrom the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Another man comes out of the store and attempts to stop the robbery, but the suspect violently hits the woman, who falls to the ground as the second man tries to pull him away.

The Sheriff’s Office announced inan updateon Facebook that Fleury had been arrested Thursday morning.

He faces charges of robbery, sudden snatching and battery on person 65 years of age or older, the sheriff’s office said.

It’s unclear if Fleury has entered a plea or retained an attorney to speak on his behalf.
