Abbott ElementaryCast Reveals Jalen Hurts and Other Eagles Players Brought the Super Bowl Trophy to Their Set (Exclusive)

Jalen Hurtsand his Philadelphia Eagles teammates made another visit to theAbbott Elementaryset — this time with the Vince Lombardi trophy in hand.

“A couple of Eagles [players] came to our set and brought the trophy,” William Stanford Davis told PEOPLE at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood Park, Calif. on Sunday, March 2. “We got a chance to rub it. It was nice.”

The set visit came after theEagles’ 2025 Super Bowl winagainst the Kansas City Chiefs, securing Hurts his first championship title.

“I have to tell you, the trophy was great and it’s not as heavy as the SAG Award,” Walter, 61, told PEOPLE. “I was getting ready for it to be like ugh, ‘cause the SAG Award is like a workout, but this was very lightweight. It’s sort of puffy and hollow like me.”

Walter said the Super Bowl ring is not only “giant,” it’s “sensational.”

Davis, who plays custodian Mr. Johnson on the ABC sitcom, is excited that the show has been renewed for its fifth season. (The award-winning sitcom follows staff and students at a public school in the team’s hometown.) “They would think it’s like another Super Bowl ring,” Davis, 73, said of the Eagles’ potential reaction to the news of another season.

Both actors, meanwhile, had fun meeting the players, some of whommade cameos on the show last year. “So far, we haven’t heard anything,” said Davis about the football players appearing on the show again. “I couldn’t tell you if I did know, but you never know.”

In the next hilarious scene, the Eagles quarterback teased Janine Teagues (series creator and star Quinta Brunson) about her height when she ran into the room to find him on the screen. “Hey, little girl,” Hurts, 26, said to Janine. “Look at you all dressed up for career day.”

Later in the episode, Kelce and Graham showed up to tell Hurts he is late for practice, after the quarterback’s Hail Mary attempt setting up a marriage proposal involving Melissa Schemmenti (Walter) went awry. (Not long after his appearance on the show, Kelceannounced his retirementafter 13 seasons in the NFL.)

In real life, Hurts is just as charming.

Davis told PEOPLE at the Oscars watch party that he enjoyed meeting Hurts and Eagles running back Saquon Barkley the most. “I’m a Rams fan in real life,” he said, before adding that Barkley and Hurts are “real nice guys.”
