Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Color Coordinate Their Looks for 2025 Golden Globes Date Night: 'Happy Accident'

The pair, whotied the knot back in 2014, dazzled on the red carpet in coordinating — and colorful — looks.

Brody, 45, wore a teal suit accessorized with a black bow tie and a white rose boutonniere on the lapel of his blazer. Shiny black oxford shoes rounded out his suiting.

Meester, 38, glammed up in a slinky citrus gown with a plunging neckline that she teamed with dazzling diamond jewelry and sparkly silver pointed-toe heels. For glam, theGossip Girlalum went for an elegant updo with curtain bangs and subtle peachy makeup.

Prior to the ceremony, the parents of two stopped on the carpet to chat withE!’s Zuri Hall about how their outfits, which serendipitously complemented each other, came to be.

Brody received acclaimed from critics and fans alike as the“Hot Rabbi” Noahin the hit Netflix series, which also starsKristen Bell. In his interview withE!, he said that the success of the series has been both “overwhelming” and “gratifying.”

“I can’t stay enough good things about it. It’s nothing but joyful,” he said. “It hopefully means in another 20 years I’ll be back as everyone’s favorite grandpa boyfriend.”

Meester also teased a new project that could possibly include her husband. “I have an idea, but it’s top secret,” she teased.

Speaking to PEOPLE for the2024 Sexiest Man Aliveissue in November,The O.C.actor admittedhe had no cluehe would have so much of the internet blushing over his charming performance. “I knew that we had something that worked, but I had no idea the sort of wide swath of people that would enjoy it,” he told PEOPLE. “I’ve been doing this a long time, and it doesn’t happen often, whoever you are. So it’s very gratifying and exciting.”

And it “worked” so much that the show was renewed for a second season on Oct. 10 — only two weeks after it premiered in September. In an interview with PEOPLE about season 2, Brody’s costarJackie Tohraved about the Golden Globe nominee: “People always talk about like, ‘Oh, no one like Noah exists.’ Bad news: Adam Brody’s like that and he exists.”

Last year, Brody and Meester hit the up the Golden Globes afterparty circuit andmatched in simple black lookswhile celebrating at the UTA afterparty at La Dolce Vita in Beverly Hills, Calif. In 2011, Meester, who was at the height of herGossip Girlfame, attended the event as a presenter, hitting the stageGarrett Hedlundto give out an award.

Brody and Meester first started dating in February 2013, spotted out for a dinner date in Venice, Calif., and they made theirfirst public outingas a couple four months later. Later that year, the pair gotengaged, and theywed in a quiet ceremonyin February 2014.

Brody alsoappeared in seven episodesof his wife’s ABC sitcomSingle Parentsin 2019 and 2020, playing Meester’s deadbeat boyfriend Derek. “It’s just fun to be on set with him,“Leighton said of working with Brodyin an interview with PEOPLE. “I love being at work, and then having my best friend come and work with me is just like the best thing ever.”

The actorswelcomed their first child, daughter Arlo, in 2015. They also share a son, born in 2020, whose name has not been revealed.
