Dreams really do come true at the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

Before the pastry was lowered into a giant toaster on the field, Strawberry held a sign that read, “Dreams really do come true.”

“Live every day like the pop-tart lived its last one,”The Athleticsenior writer Nicole Auerbach posted onX(formerly Twitter) at the time.

After the game, the Pop-Tarts Bowl posted a photo onsocial mediaof what appeared to be the aftermath of Strawberry’s demise. The pastry only had one eye left and was otherwise unrecognizable.

“Leave no crumbs,” the post read.

The 2024Pop-Tarts Bowlwill air live from the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla. on Saturday, Dec. 28 starting at 3:30 p.m. ET only on ABC. After the game, the toaster trophy will go to the winning team’s campus.
