An Amazon delivery driver became an unlikely good Samaritan when she helped save two women and some pets from a home fire in Alabama.
Then, nearly an hour later, she was at a burning home and assisted a woman and her older mother escape the inferno.
“I didn’t even think about my life at the time. It was just like they need help,” Elmore later told Fox affiliateWBRC.
According to Elmore, she helped carry the older woman down the stairs and then went back to retrieve her wheelchair, WVTM reported.

“When I help a lot of people, I really don’t think about that,” the driver told the outlet. “I put myself out the way because I feel like God is going to cover me regardless. In that way, I put myself out the way. God has me covered, so I need to focus on them."
Elmore, who is also a coffee shop owner, told WBRC that she hopes someone would have acted the same way if her loved ones were in the same situation.
“If it was my family, I would want someone to do the same for me,” she said.
Finally, after her heroic act, Elmore continued with her shift.
In a statement shared with PEOPLE on Friday, Feb. 21, an Amazon spokesperson wrote: “We’re grateful for Na’imah’s heroic actions and we’re glad that everyone is safe. We appreciate her and other Amazon Flex drivers who go above and beyond to deliver to their community.”
