Anne Hathaway's Son Jack, 5, Makes Rare Appearance to Cheer for the Eagles at the Super Bowl Alongside Mom

Eagles pride is a family thing — just askAnne Hathaway’sson.

ThePrincess Diariesstar, 42, was seen attending theSuper Bowlon Sunday, Feb. 9, in New Orleans, alongside her5-year-old son Jackin a video posted toInstagram. The two were decked out in Philadelphia Eagles gear as they were seen cheering on their team on the jumbotron.

Hathaway wore a green T-shirt and sat with her son on her lap. The two waved when they realized they were on the big screen. Although Hathaway was born in New York, her grandfather is the late Philadelphia radio personality Joe McCauley.

This isn’t the first sports game that Hathaway and her son have been seen at recently. In November,TheIdea of Youactresstook Jack to see the New York Knickstake on the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden in New York.

His co-host added, “The little kid was mesmerized. He couldn’t move.”

As the announcers talked, a video of a smiling Hathaway played across the screen, as she rubbed her son’s arm.

Appearing on the cover ofNET-A-PORTER’s digital titlePORTERin November 2023, Hathaway opened up about why she tries to keep her two kids out of the spotlight.

“It’s something I feel is not just essential for my health — I’m on a team, it’s my family, andit’s not just about me,” she told the outlet at the time.

“My family has needs, and one of the needs of children is that they need to be able to define their own lives,” she continued.

“It doesn’t even occur to me to link the two up, except through gratitude that they serve each other so beautifully. But they serve each other through me, and not through a space that’s outside of myself.”
