At the Tokyo premiere ofWickedon Feb. 19,Ariana Grandefaced a slight sartorial gaffe. Thankfully her costarCynthia Erivoand director Jon M. Chu were quick to jump to the rescue.

The moment wasn’t embarrassing at the slightest for the singer, who smiled at the audience. Grande wasn’t alone for too long before Erivo and Chu both rushed back to give her hand. She then scurried and walked to the center of the stage, almost tripping on her gown again.

Grande poked fun at the moment on Instagram Stories, reposting a meme of the situation captioned with “No witch left behind.” She also reposted a video of the moment, jokingly calling out Erivo and Chu’s “unison panic.”

This time, Grande channeled both the Good Witch while also paying homage to Japan’s signature cherry blossoms with a floral Philip Treacy headpiece adorning her updo.

Cuttrell has also been assisting Grande in bringing a bit of Glinda’s stylish magic to awards season too, starting off with thebubble-inspired Loewe gownGrande wore to the Palm Springs International Film Awards on Jan. 3.

Shortly after, Grande attended the2025 Golden Globesin a romantic pastel yellow gown with bodice embellishments. The design was pulled from Hubert de Givenchy’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 1996 archives.

For theCritics Choice Awards, she wore a nude-colored Dior Haute Couture number with a cage skirt draped in floral appliqués and fringe.

Grande most recently hit the carpet at theBAFTA Awardsin London, where she turned heads in a Louis Vuitton gown complete with a sleeveless and plunging black bodice attached to a voluminous peachy-pink skirt with a ruched waistline.

In her cover story withThe Hollywood Reporterpublished on Feb. 11, Grande opened up about how playing Glinda allowed her tostep away from her pop star persona.

“At a certain point, you get tired of that [pop star] character, because it is a character,” said Grande. “There are pieces of you and your story that are woven throughout your songwriting, but then, because of the way it travels and becomes sensationalized, it gets away from you.”

She continued: “And beneath all of it is just a girl from Boca who loves art, and I think that’s why it’s been such a deeply healing gift to disappear into this character — to take off one mask and put on another.”
