Arnold Schwarzenegger Shares Reaction to His Son Patrick Schwarzenegger’sWhite LotusNude Scene

Arnold Schwarzeneggeris proving he will always be a proud dad.

The Terminatorstar, 77, attended the season 3 premiere ofThe White Lotuson Monday, Feb. 10 to support his sonPatrick Schwarzenegger’s role in the hit show. He latershared a photoof them on the red carpet with a sweet message to his son.

“I was so pumped to take a break from filming to celebrate @patrickschwarzenegger at theWhite LotusSeason 3 premiere,” the caption read.

The former California governor went on to poke fun at one particularly revealing moment in the upcoming season: “What a show! I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say - the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Don’t miss it this Sunday - trust me.”

Earlier this month, Patrick, 31,opened up to PEOPLEfor February’sdigital coverabout how Shriver was the one to convince him to try out forThe White Lotusafter becoming a fan of the show.

“Every time we would watch the show, season 1 and season 2, every timeTheo Jameswould come up or in the first season,Jake Lacey… my mom was always like, ‘Why haven’t you auditioned for this? Why didn’t you go out for this?’ And my sister’s like, ‘You need to call your agents right now. This is ridiculous that you’re not in on the show, that you didn’t even audition,'" he recalled.

When he received an offer to audition, Patrick kept it to himself, doubting he’d even get a callback — but that waiting period was difficult, he said.

“I could not enjoy the holidays. I had so much anxiety, I was freaking out over it,” he shared, noting that his family probably noticed that he was acting strange. “I was in Idaho with my dad and we go skiing every morning, and the audition was at 9 a.m. … and I was like, ‘Hey, I’m not going to go skiing today.’ And he was like, ‘Why?’ I was like, ‘I’ve got to do this audition thing, so just whatever, you guys go and just… No one call me.’”

“I texted all my family, ‘Do not call me today, don’t text me, don’t do anything,’” he added.

After getting the callback and doing a chemistry read, Patrick said he got a message from Mike White telling him he got the role: “I started crying and it was the greatest day in history for me."

It was then time to share the news with his family, which he said was very special.

He continued: “It was like a domino effect of mayhem and tears.”
