Ashley Iaconetti Reveals If She Feels Gender Disappointment About Not Having a Daughter

Ashley Iaconettiis getting candid about whether she gets sad about not having a daughter.

“I have gotten over it for myself for sure, but I do feel sad Jared doesn’t get to be a girl dad because I think he’d be so wonderful at it,” Iaconetti replied, referencing husbandJared Haibon. “I asked him last night if it makes him sad and he said he would have liked to be a girl dad, but doesn’t want three.”

“I had such gender disappointment with Dawson,” she said of her son, noting she “had a feeling” that she wasn’t pregnant with a girl.

Later in the podcast, Iaconetti discussed the possibility of having another son in the future, sharing that she “doesn’t care so much” about gender anymore. “I’d be happy if we had a boy too because then I’d want them to have that, hopefully, brother bond.”

Back in January 2024, the coupleshared they were pregnant againand chatted with PEOPLE ahead of going public with the announcement.

“We want Dawson to have a sibling,” Haibon said of his son. “That’s very important. Both of us come from families with two kids. So we wanted to give that to Dawson.”

“I want that big family dynamic, but man, having so many kids is just so overwhelming,” he continued. “So even the idea of a second kid, it’s no longer two-on-one where we can play defense against him. Now it’s just one-on-one.”
