As she enters a new year and phase of her career,Becky Gisn’t looking back.The singer, who first shot into the spotlight with the multi-platinum track “Shower” in 2014, hasn’t let up on the gas. In 2024 alone, she scored her first-ever Latin Grammy Award for producing, released her fourth albumEncuentrosand hit the road for her second headlining tour — and still had time to lend a few verses to a track onTyla’ssexy self-titled album and guest judge on an episode ofRuPaul’s Drag Race.“I’ve been doing this since I was very, very young, and I’m very work mode — very beast mode when it comes to what I do and my career,” admits the star, 27, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE ahead of therelease of her Super Bowl adwith Mountain Dew. “I deserve to have a little bit of fun.”Amid her ascent to stardom, she’s had to navigate through some thorny issues in her personal life — made more complicated when they have spilled into the public eye.In 2023, not long before Becky was set to perform onCoachella’smain stage, her engagement to the FC Dallas payerSebastian Lletgetwas embroiled in rumors of infidelity, prompting Lletget toshare a lengthy statementon Instagram about his “10-minute lapse in judgment,” adding that he was willing to do “whatever it takes to earn back” her trust.But Becky gave her fans a stellar performance in the desert — with the assist ofPeso Pluma, who made a surprise on-stage appearance. Everybody just wants to get to the top and has their own idea of what success looks like, but mine is mine, and I love mine.”
