Ben Affleck’s action-packed 2016 thrillerThe Accountantis back for another mission.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, Amazon MGM Studios unveiled the first trailer forThe Accountant 2, showing Affleck back as Christian Wolff andJon Bernthalas his brother Brax.
“Christian Wolff has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to ‘find the accountant,’ Wolff is compelled to solve the case,” teases a synopsis.
“Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother Brax to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.”

The first film told the story of Christian’s upbringing and his estrangement from Brax as they grow up. Bernthal appears as a hitman throughout the story, and is only revealed to be Christian’s brother as the movie comes to its climax.
