Beyoncéhas revealed her highly anticipated announcement won’t be going ahead onTuesday, Jan. 14as previously scheduled.
In a statement shared onInstagram, the singer, 43, explained she had decided to delay the news in light of theongoing blaze in Los Angeles.
“I continue to pray for healing and rebuilding for the families suffering from trauma and loss,” she continued. “We are so blessed to have brave first responders who continue to work tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community."
The decision to postpone the announcement came just hours after shedonated $2.5 millionon behalf of the BeyGood Foundation to L.A. relief funds.
In anInstagrampost on the foundation’s feed, Beyoncé said the large sum was “earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers” due to the wildfires.

Fans had been speculating about what the Jan. 14, mystery could be ever since sheteased the datein a cryptic video on Christmas Day. Having wowed with herhalftime showon Dec. 25, she took toInstagramwith a clip showing herself in an all-white outfit while sitting on a white horse and waving a flag.
“Look at that horse,” she captioned the post, without hinting what her big reveal would be.
She then went quiet on the social media platform until her latest statement explaining that the announcement would be delayed.
Thousands of people have been displaced amid the wildfires and theNational Weather Service Los Angeleshas issued an “extremely rare” Red Flag Warning due to strong winds enhancing the risk for “rapid fire growth.”
On Sunday, Jan. 12 theLos Angeles County Medical Examinerconfirmed the death toll had risen to 24 as a result of the devastation.
