Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPagliais sharing more insight into how things ended withZach Bryan.

The internet personality opened up to Alix Earle for another tell-all conversation about her relationship with the country superstar during an episode of herHot Messpodcast.

At one point during the interview, which was released on Dec. 12, Earle asked LaPaglia to clarify who ultimately initiated the breakup, which Bryanpublicly announced via social mediaon Oct. 22 after being together for a little over one year.

“The ending was really weird,” thePlanBri Uncut Podcasthost replied, acknowledging that “everyone” is assuming that Bryan dumped her first. “He got caught on Raya, so he had to post an Instagram Story,” she alleged of why the singer uploaded the breakup post at the time.

LaPaglia said that there was a “whole situation” that happened the night before they broke up and he left for Oklahoma. “It was crazy, it was horrible. We came to the conclusion that we’re going to stay together, we’re going to figure it out. He goes back to Oklahoma.”

“I didn’t know he was cheating on me the whole time,” she added, to which Earle interrupted to ask about that part of the story. “I kind of brushed over that because the cheating was the most normal part for me,” LaPaglia said, referring to the action like it’s a “normal” thing for “dudes” to do.

When asked how she found out about the cheating, LaPaglia said it was the “Raya thing” that brought it to her attention. “I was like, ‘Okay, this is crazy.’ Then I had all these girls DMing me. Then I have receipts and receipts of people telling me.”

LaPaglia claimed, “If I knew he was cheating on me, it would’ve been easier for me to leave.” Earle agreed, noting that the “emotional” and “mental” effects of a relationship are “much more confusing” than a “blatant” gesture like cheating.

Bryan’s rep did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

What started this topic of conversation between the ladies on the podcast was when Earle asked LaPaglia if she would’ve “taken the initiative to end” the relationship if Bryan hadn’t posted on Instagram first. This was on the heels of LaPaglia explaining why she was already “checked out.”

Towards the end of their romance, LaPaglia said she confided in her aunt who she said had experience with an “abusive relationship.” It was when her aunt told LaPaglia that she “didn’t even recognize” her anymore that she knew it was time.

OnHot Mess, LaPaglia rehashed some of the topics she shared on theBFFspodcast like the period of her relationship she deemed “the darkest couple months of my life.” She echoed, “He completely isolated me from my life. I lived on a tour bus. I couldn’t do the things I wanted to do.”

She continued, “I couldn’t do anything. I stopped doing my career. He wanted me to quit Barstool, I couldn’t talk to my family about it because I wasn’t home. So I was just in this bubble… like it was a revolving door of thoughts.”
