Cameras Captured Deadly Crash of Private Jet Owned by Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil, Authorities Blame Landing Gear

The landing plane sped down the runway and then slammed into a larger, parked plane — the latest in a string of aviation incidents around the country that have drawn new attention following theAmerican Airlines Flight 5342 crash in late January.

One person died in the crash in Scottsdale, officials said. Three others were taken for medical treatment.

Neil saidin a statement through a representativethat there were four people on his jet when it crashed while “attempting to land,” but he was not onboard.

“For reasons unknown at this time, the plane veered from the runway causing it to collide with another parked plane,” Neil’s representative said. “On board Mr. Neil’s plane were two pilots and two passengers.”

“More specific details regarding the collision are not available as this is a rapidly evolving situation and there is an ongoing investigation,” the representative continued. “Mr. Neil’s thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all first responders assisting today.”

Jet Pros, the company that owns the other plane that was hit, said in a statement that they had one crew member aboard at the time of the collision.

He was “treated and released” and the company is “cooperating fully” with authorities.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
