The influencer and musician first posted about Mechaca in 2020, sharing an artsy video on his Instagram of the couple. The short film showed the two meeting and falling in love, ending on a dinner date. “Fin,” Dallas captioned the post.

He’s since shared glimpses of their relationship, including a clip of them kissing under fireworks and a picture of the pair dressed as pirates. Dallas has also posted photos and clips of the couple on vacation, writing, “Dummer sump” in the caption.

In 2020, Dallas spoke with PEOPLE abouthis journey toward sobriety, sharing that he’d been able to rely on his family and his girlfriend.

At the time, he said his focus had been “all self-care, self-work,” and he knew it was real — “it’s like the opposite of social media” — because people like his mom, sister, sponsor and girlfriend “actually saw me do it. Really saw me.”

Dallas shared that he wasn’t using drugs or alcohol at the time, and said that while he still uses social media, it’s in careful moderation. “I can’t go back to how it was. I can’t. But social media isn’t always bad,” he said. “It’s just how you use it.”
