Candace Parkeris set to release her new book and PEOPLE can exclusively share the cover!

The former professional basketball player’s book,The Can-Do Mindset,will help readers learn how to cultivate resilience, follow their hearts and fight for their passions according to a press release shared with PEOPLE. It’s due out this spring fromGet Lifted Books, a Zando Imprint.

Speaking about the title of the book, Parker, 38, revealed that the inspiration came from the nickname she was given as a child.

She added, “With this book, I want everyone to know how they can lean into the Can-Do mindset themselves.”

Candace Parker Announces New Book, The Can-Do Mindset

After two seasons with her hometown team Chicago Sky, where she won her second WNBA title in 2021, Parker signed with the Las Vegas Aces ahead of the 2023 WNBA season and won her third championship before announcing her retirement in 2024.

Away from the court, Parker has become an inspiring figure in the LGBTQ+ community. The star has been married to former basketball player, Anna Petrakova, 40, since 2019.

The couple share sonsAirr Larry, 2, andHartt Summitt, born May 21, 2024. Parker also shares daughter Lailaa Nicole, 14 with ex-husband Shelden Williams.
