Days of Our Lives' Casey Deidrick Arrested in Nashville on Accusation of Alleged Domestic Assault Against His Girlfriend

Casey Deidrick, an actor best known for playing Chad DiMera onDays of Our Lives, has been arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident.

The arrest came after Deidrick, 37, allegedly assaulted his unidentified girlfriend and snatched her phone in their Nashville home,TMZreported, citing an arrest warrant.

The actor was charged with domestic assault and interference with an emergency call. He was later released from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 3 after he posted a $2,500 bond.

PEOPLE has reached out to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and Deidrick’s rep for comment.

Deidrick also claimed that his partner wrapped her hands around his neck, but officers wrote they didn’t find any evidence of such assault.

In his girlfriend’s account to the police, she denied recording him and claimed she was “cowered in a corner” of their kitchen during the argument. She then alleged that the actor came up behind her, got her into a “bear hug,” taking the phone from her hand, per the warrant.

She also claimed that she “demanded her phone back” in order to call the police as she feared for her safety. After she agreed to move out of their home the same day, Deidrick returned her phone.
