Annie Murphy’s Alexis Rose uttered two words heard around the world as she expressed disdain for her older brother. “Ew, David,” went on to become Alexis’ catchphrase and one of the show’s most recognizable quotes.
Despite its popularity, Alexis only says “Ew, David” three times throughout the six seasons. The first happens in the eighth episode of season 1, when David suggests Alexis try a product “all about aging and dry skin.” Mouth full, she voices her disgust in a clip that has lived on beyond the series.

In one of the series’most viral scenes, Dan Levy and Catherine O’Hara’s David and Moira Rose attempt to make homemade enchiladas according to a family recipe. As Moira reads the instructions to David, both end up confused over what “fold in the cheese” means — though Moira refuses to admit it.
“David, I cannot show you everything,” she says in an attempt to hide her ineptitude.
“Well, can you show meonething?” David asks.
Moira repeats the instructions word-for-word to a frustrated David, who eventually leaves his mother to finish what is allegedly her recipe.

“I do drink red wine. But I also drink white wine. And I’ve been known to sample the occasional rosé. And a couple summers back, I tried a merlot that used to be a chardonnay, which got a bit complicated,” he explained in one of the most notable onscreen depictions of pansexuality. “I like the wine and not the label.”

Season 2 ofSchitt’s Creekkicked off with Moira, Johnny and Alexis in a mad dash to a missing David, who disappeared at the end of the first season. They discover him in the Amish countryside, wearing his trademark all-black in a field. He tells them that he sent a text with his whereabouts to Alexis, who never saw.
“I’m sorry for not responding to like, one text, David!” Alexis yells to her brother.
It isn’t his family that convinces him to leave the Amish, though; it’s a bug on his dress.

“I saw your talent and I thought well, the apple can’t fall far from the tree,” Jocelyn tells Moira after they dismiss an optimistic Alexis.
“Different orchard, Jocelyn,” Moira says.

“We seem to have caught the boys in a…” Moira begins as Alexis enters the room, to David’s dismay.
“An afternoon delight. Is that term still a going thing?” Johnny asks, and David and Alexis quickly rebuke the phrase.

All of Moira’s eccentricities were on full display in a tourism video she films for Schitt’s Creek. Tempering her mild disgust toward the town’s dullness, she unwittingly drops one-liners like, “Won’t you join me for a stroll through the slice of paradise I like to call … the town where I currently am?”
At the local diner, she explains that the café is “fine dining” because it “has certainly been described as ‘fine.’ “ Throughout the grainy ad, the townspeople awkwardly feature beside Moira, who sticks out in her black-and-blond wig and feathery, leather ensemble.
