Gal Gadot Opens Up About 'Huge Scare' of Discovering 3 Deadly Brain Clots While Pregnant with Fourth Baby

In February, during my eighth month of pregnancy, I was diagnosed with a massive blood clot in my brain.

On Monday, March 10, Gadot was promoting her latest movie,Snow White,onThe Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, when she began to recount the symptoms that led to medics discovering that she had blood clots during her pregnancy.

“I had a huge scare. All of a sudden, I realized what it means to be scared to death," Gadot told hostJimmy Fallon.

Gadot, 39, described herself as being “very pregnant” when her painful symptoms began.

“I had a brain clot and it was a huge one. Like three, I had three,” she said, before adding jokingly, “When I do something, I do it all the way.”

“I had major headaches for three weeks and I was seeing doctors and different neurologists,” Gadot continued."

TheRed Noticeactress said doctors initially blamed her symptoms on migraines and hormones.

However, after three weeks with no improvements, her mom pushed for her to get an MRI scan.

The surgical procedure, which takes between 1 to 3 hours, is used to remove a blood clot and, in some cases, can be used to treat strokes, according toMedical News Today. Untreated blood clots can affect blood supply to the brain and cause a life-threatening stroke, per theoutlet.

Gadot went on to praise the “amazing” team at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles for “saving my life,” before reiterating the importance of getting troubling symptoms checked.

She described her daughter as “a little caterpillar” as she gushed about Ori being in good health.
