The model, 30, just announced she wasengagedto NBA starKyle Kuzma, a small forward on the Milwaukee Bucks. The couple’s jointInstagram post, shared on Tuesday, Feb. 18, features a series of photos of the pair posing together on a plane — including some snaps of Harlow’s dazzling engagement ring.PerVogue,the sparkler is an 8.5-carat oval-cut diamond with two baguette stones on the side. Kuzma told the outlet that he spent three months designing the piece himself.

“I never really asked her what type of ring she liked or anything,” he said. “I just wanted to draw a picture of what I felt resembled her — something that was elegant, but very timeless and simplistic at the same time.”

The model opted for a simple nude manicure in a coffin shape, letting her engagement ring truly shine.

PerVogue, Kuzma had told Harlow that he had planned a Turks and Caicos getaway for them as a vacation.

While the private plane and the romantic decor on the aircraft seemed over the top, Harlow assumed that it was to celebrate Valentine’s Day.“I still had no idea what this was,” she told the outlet. “I was just like, ‘This is so cute for Valentine’s Day, oh my gosh!’”

After boarding the plane, Kuzma told Harlow to sit down next to him and he began to read her a poem he had written, perVogue. “For a split second in my head I thought, ‘This would be so cute if this was an engagement,'” Harlow recalled to the outlet. “But I’m also not the type of person who wants to guess or wants to spoil a surprise. So it just was a fleeting thought in my head.”

However, when Kuzma’s final line of the poem was “Will you marry me?”, Harlow’s thought was confirmed. The athlete then presented her with the ring.

PerVogue, Harlow swapped her red SKIMS silk set for a Blumarine dress for the celebration. The group enjoyed an elegant dinner on the beach, capped off with a fireworks display.

The couple first connected online during the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Harlow told the lateStephen “tWitch” Bosswhile appearing onThe Ellen DeGeneres Showin 2020. After a few months of speaking nearly 24/7, Harlow decided to move from New York City to Los Angeles to be with Kuzma, who played for the L.A. Lakers at the time.
