The Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Saturday, Jan. 25.
“NO, I am not on any weight loss medication,” she wrote in the Instagram Stories post in part, noting that she “just [looks] damn good for postpartum.”
“I’m addressing all the rumors that content creators spread,” she later told PEOPLE. “It’s not necessarily to anyone in particular, it’s just some of the crazy rumors that have come out over the last few weeks that I wanted to address are not true.”
Added Blanchard: “I never have used weight loss drugs to lose weight. I was blessed with a healthy pregnancy and gained very little during my pregnancy.”

She explained her decision, which aligns with her choice to live a more private life followingher December 2023 prison release, in an Instagram Stories post earlier this month. (Blanchard spent eight years in prison for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother Dee Dee, who subjected her daughter to years of painful medical procedures she never needed.)
“To everyone asking, No, I will not be posting pictures of Aurora,” she wrote at the time. “I understand everyone’s excitement and we appreciate the support, but we value the privacy and safety of our daughter.”
“We continue to express love towards our supporters,” she added, “and thank you for following our journey ❤️.”
