Halle Berry Wears Shattered-Mirror Gown with 7,000 Beads for Jaw-Dropping Appearance at Oscars 2025

The Unionactress, 58, walked the red carpet on March 2 a body-hugging mirrored Christian Siriano gown. The strapless dress had sheer panels down Berry’s legs and draped into a short train.

The stylish star completed her look with Pomellato Jewelry and wore her hair in a sleek flipped-out bob.

During the red carpet preshow, where Christian Siriano was providing commentary, he told his fellow hosts how excited he was to work with Berry and her stylist, Lindsay Flores.

“My entire career I wanted to dress one person at the oscars, and that’s Halle Berry,” he said. “It’s different for her, it’s metallic, it’s iridescent.”

Siriano added that the dress has 7,000 beads on it.

Berry is set to be one of the night’s presenters. She joins a star-studded lineup that also includesOprah Winfrey,Whoopi Goldberg,Robert Downey Jr.,Cillian Murphy,Da’Vine Joy Randolph,Emma Stone,Sterling K. BrownandAna de Armas.

Ahead of the Oscars, Berry appeared onTrevor Noah’sWhat Now?podcast, where she saidshe is “tired"of being the only Black woman to win Best Actress. She took home the trophy in 2002 for her transformative role inMonster’s Ball. This year, only one Black actress is nominated in the category:Cynthia ErivoforWicked. “I hope this year someone stands next to me,” Berry said. “This year, I hope it happens because I’m tired of occupying that space alone.”

Berry also reflected on her win, revealing that she felt like she was “chosen” to “open that door” for others.

She added, “I knew it was bigger than me. I was, in that moment, [destined] to be a beacon of possibility. And I do think it served that purpose.”

The deep red dress with its sheer bodice, floral appliqués and silky skirt looked as stylish as ever as the actress paired it with a pair of oversize earrings.

The biggest difference between Berry’s November look and her original Oscars style was her hair. In 2002, she was famously rocking a pixie cut, while she sported a topknot at the 2024 event.

Berry shared a video onInstagramfeaturing her strutting down the runway in her famous gown at the Saudi Arabia show alongside a caption that nodded to her iconic win.

“There are some moments in life that just happen and they change our lives forever! Winning an Academy Award in my @eliesaabworld gown was one of those moments for me!” she wrote. “Thank you Mr. Saab for being a part of the tapestry of my life as we have been inextricably connected for 22 years now! It was my honor to celebrate you and your 1001 Seasons. Here’s wishing you many more glorious years of joy, creativity and glamour!”
