Sitting in her highchair in just a diaper, Townes babbled happily while attempting to chew the meat as juices ran down her body.

“Starting with steak on the 4th child. Pureés aint doing it for her,” Duff joked in the caption, along with the warning, “If you’re vegan maybe skip this story today.”

This isn’t the first time Townes has experimented with food. On Tuesday, Dec. 10Duff recalledtaking her to a chef friend’s house, where she put “a big glob” of gourmet quiche in her mouth — and started “choking a little.”

“Normally, I’d be panicked,” Duff said in anexclusive interview with PEOPLE, “and now I’m waiting, waiting, ‘Oh good, you worked it out.’ ”

“There’s just a coolness to me, finally, on the fourth kid that makes life a lot more tolerable right now,” she added.

The singer-turned-actress and her husbandMatthew Komawelcomed Townes on May 3. They also share daughtersBanks Violet, 6 andMae James, 3 while Duff shares sonLuca Cruz, 12, with retired NFL playerMike Comrie.

Duff also reflected on her approach to parenting in aMay 2021 interview with PEOPLEsharing that she loves the “mayhem” of motherhood.

“I love when everyone’s full of energy and the house is buzzing. You never know what the day is going to bring or what your kid’s going to say,” she said. “We’re in the thick of it, and it feels good,” she said.
