Isaac Rochell Jokes He's Following Wife Allison Kuch's Lead as an Influencer After NFL Retirement (Exclusive)

Issac Rochellis looking forward to new ventures after he officially retired from theNFLthis month.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at Media Row in New Orleans, La., Rochell, 29, and his wifeAllison Kuch, 30, open up about him diving into more content creation and “creating more of a voice for myself” following his football career.

“A lot of people have followed me initially because they were hyped [to see] more content of [Allison],” he says. “But it’s turned into me having a little more of my voice. That’s the beauty of social media and it takes [having that] genuine, chill vibe.”

Kuch adds to that sentiment saying it helps that they “both know the ins and outs of content [creation],” which would make that transition easier for him.

“I’ve been battle-tested and understand what a good video is or what a good picture looks like,” the former Cleveland Browns player jokes. “I make sure the content’s done right.”

TheSunday Sports Clubhost agreed, before adding that “there’s always room for improvement” and they “never be complacent.”

He announced his retirement on an episode ofSunday Sports Clubon Feb. 2 and shared that he’s “super happy to be done.“Kuch also shared that she was “so incredibly proud” of her husband noting that out of all of their “memories over the past 10 years of our entire relationship, football has been at the heart of.”

“There’s been so many ups, so many downs, and our life has truly revolved around the sport of football,” she continued. “And just when I look back, I’m so proud and I’m so thankful for all the memories that the NFL gave us.”

Rochell tells PEOPLE that the decision to retire “made sense” to him and they’re looking forward to spending more time with their daughterScottie Bee, who just turned one back inDecember 2024, with Kuch joking she’s excited to “get my husband back.”

He adds that the “journey for wives and girlfriends in the NFL is a lot,” especially when they’ve had to move so many times throughout his career.

“I think for both of us, it’s nice to [know] we’re gonna be in one spot indefinitely,” he continues. “I just generally had a really good career and I’m super proud of it. I’m excited to be on the other side.”
