On Jan. 31, Fatone appeared onGood Morning Americawhere he belted out boyband hits in a special mashup crafted for the ABC morning show.
Speaking about the experience of doing the show in an interview withBroadway World, Fatone spoke about the unpredictable nature of live theater.
“I love being on live stage,” he noted. “You get the instant gratification right there as opposed to being on film, which film is great but getting the instant laugh. And you never know what’s going to happen. If you screw up, that’s show businesses and the show must go on and you just got to keep going with it and see what happens.”

He also noted how he’s heard from many theatergoers at the stage door who are new to Broadway.
“Tourists, they want to come see New York City itself but you come to New York City, you got to see a Broadway show,” Fatone said. “And this is a great show to ease into somebody that has never seen a Broadway show before because again, you’re familiar with the music, you’re familiar with these songs and they tie into these scenarios in the script. … It’s amazing.”
