The Buffalo Bills quarterback, 28, was named the NFL’s 2025 Most Valuable Player at the NFL Honors on Thursday, Feb. 6, the league’s top award. After his name was called, Allen turned to Steinfeld, also 28, for a kiss before walking up to accept the trophy.

Allen’s fiancée was the “last but not least” in his speech, telling her, “You’ve been my rock, you’re my best friend. I would not be standing on the stage if it weren’t for you.”

Allen also thanked his fellow nominees in his speech — Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, Eagles RB Saquon Barkley, Bengals QB Joe Burrow and Lions QB Jared Goff — along with the entire Bills organization, before honoring his parents, who were in the audience with tears in their eyes.

“I’d like to thank Joel and Lavonne, my parents who, in my 20-plus years of playing football, going down to Pop Warner, I bet you they missed maybe 15 games in their entire life,” Allen said.

“They are so dedicated to supporting me and my favorite teammates, who are my sister and my brother and my little sister: Nicala, Jason, Makenna. Thank you guys for all the support, all the time money, energy wasted growing up and going from meet to game to practice, every day. I love you guys. I know you take a lot of pride in this as well.”

Allen had threw for 28 touchdowns this season and 3,731 yards, while leading Buffalo to a 13-4 season. He and the Bills had hoped to finally win the AFC Championship and make it back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1994, but once again could not beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.

Allen, meanwhile, wore a sleek black suit with a white shirt and black tie, and sweetly leaned in to pose with Steinfeld.
