On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Hudson, 45, shared photos onInstagramof herself and Jackman, 56, as they recorded songs for their upcoming movie musicalSong Sung Blue.

The cast also includesMichael Imperioli,Fisher Stevens,Jim Belushi, Ella Anderson, King Princess, Mustafa Shakir and Hudson Hilbert Hensley, according to a press release.

It will remark a return to big-screen musicals for Jackman, known forThe Greatest Showman(2017) andLes Misérables(2012). He most recently appeared on Broadway in a 2022 revival ofThe Music Manthat ran through January 2023.

Jackman shouted out Hudson in his ownInstagram postDec. 11 when he shared a video showing himself getting his face shaved at the conclusion of filming his scenes, set to musician Diamond’s song “No Words.”

Song Sung Bluedoes not yet have a release date. In addition to a return to movie musicals withSong Sung Blue, Jackman announced Oct. 9 that he willperform a series of 12 concerts, titled “From New York, with Love,” at Radio City Music Hall in New York City throughout 2025.
