Kate Hudson Shares the One Thing Her Son Bingham Grabbed When They Evacuated Their Home amid L.A. Fires

Kate Hudsonlearned a lot about the items her family holds dear after she was forced to evacuate her home due to thePalisades fires.

During the Monday, March 4 episode ofLate Night with Seth Meyers,theHow to Lose a Guy in 10 Daysactress, 45, spoke to late-night hostSeth Meyers, 51, about all the things her children are into now. Hudson shared that her son Bingham, whom she welcomed in 2011, is a “money guy” and revealed the one thing he made sure to take when her family evacuated their home.

“Bing is 13 now and quite actually loves money,” she told Meyers. “We were unfortunately in the Palisades Fire, … but you learn a lot about what you take. And, the only thing Bing took was his cash box. That’s all he needed.”

“And he then, couldn’t figure out how to open it and it’s been a whole thing,” she added. “He’s a money guy.”

Hudson previously joked about the fact that each of her kids has a different father during an appearance onSunday Today with Willie Geist. “I’ve got multiple dads, I’ve got kids all over the place,” she said with a laugh.

She spoke further about her relationship withher kids' three fathersin a November 2022 interview withThe Sunday Times. “It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we’re killing it,” she said of co-parenting with the three men. “The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours.”

As for expanding her family even more, Hudson isn’t ruling anything out. During a 2020 appearance onThe Ellen DeGeneres Show, the actress said she was open tohaving more children.

Hudson spoke again about the possibility ofhaving more kidsduring an interview for Byrdie’s “After-Dark” digital issue in December 2022. “I’ve been having children my entire adult life,” she explained. “I’ve got my 4-year-old and I’ve got a kid in college. And I don’t even know if I’m done yet. You know, I don’t have that answer yet.”
