When she stepped out on March 4 in a pair of brown woven ballet flats, I immediately started searching because I knew I needed them for spring. Luckily, I found exactly what I was looking for: Holmes woreDune London’s Heat Ballet Flats, which cost $109,according to the brand’s Instagram, marking them as yetanother pair of affordable shoesthe star has worn.

She also had on a fuzzyturtleneck sweater, anOprah-approved style, from J.Crew and some baggy black jeans that looked comfortable, cool, and casual to wear for a walk around the city.

I don’t think I’ve purchased a pair of shoes in the last two years that weren’t flats. I find them chic and, at times, more comfortable than even sneakers. (Last summer when I was abroad and walking miles and miles every day, my flats were the only shoes that didn’t hurt my shins.)

Her $109 pair is certainly within my budget, but I did my due diligence before impulse buying. This $30 pair also has my favorite element — bows — and comes in a brighter color that matches more styles in my wardrobe. Meanwhile, this pair from Amazon is a wovenMary Jane style, which is pretty much the same as a ballet flat but with an extra strap on the top. As for thisQuince pair, the upper is so distinctive since it lays higher up on the foot’s surface.

Holmes’ denim was on the baggier side, meaning they should feel more like low-key pajama pants rather than tight leggings. This pair from Nordstrom looks breathable and laid-back yet still has long lines that lengthen the look of your legs. They come in sizes 0 to 14 and cost under $75 to boot.
