A furry friend just joined Katie Thurston and Jeff Arcuri’s family!TheBachelorettealum and her fiancéadopted a new puppy, Thurston announced in an Instagram post on March 12. The mixed-breed dog, Charlie, is a light-furred rescue puppy who joined the couple fromBest Friends Animal Societyin New York City.In the post, Thurston stressed the importance of pet adoption when looking for an animal friend.“It was important for us to #adoptdontshop so after visiting our local shelters, we landed at [Best Friends Animal Society in NYC] where we found our little mixed #rescue,” she wrote in the caption. “What is he? We don’t know yet but his DNA results should come back soon!“Thurston shared Charlie’s first moments with her and Arcuri in her social media post, including photos of all three of them together and Arcuri carrying Charlie through the streets of N.Y.C. The post also included videos of Charlie getting acclimated to the couple’s home, chasing his tail while sporting a blue puppy sweater, and basking in the sun.In one clip, Charlie tries to lick the camera, and another shows him in a deep sleep — not in his fuzzy dog bed but on the hardwood floor below.
