Kenny Chesney Announces Residency at Las Vegas Sphere: Will Be a 'Whole New Way of Rocking the Fans'

The country singer announced a residency at the Sphere Las Vegas in 2025 for 12 shows starting in May. “I’m always looking for ways to deepen the way No Shoes Nation experiences this music,” Chesney, 56, said of the upcoming residency at the 17,600-seat spherical venue in a statement shared with PEOPLE.

“Over the years, they have shown me through their own response to these songs how passionate they are about what they mean, how these songs are part of their lives. When people give you that much heart, I want to give them even more.”

“When we started talking about all of the possibilities playing Sphere offered, I was all in," he continued. “Just the idea of 4D technology and the impossibly dialed in sound raises the experience for No Shoes Nation, literally immersing them in music, visuals, sound and being together.

“To me, this is going to be a whole new way of rocking the fans, and I can’t wait,” Chesney added.

Fans had speculated that Chesney was announcing a residency at the venue that has so far hostedU2,Dead & Company,the EaglesandPhishafter the Sphere’sXaccount shared a video featuring a beach’s shoreline with waves washing up against a blue chair, guitar and cowboy hat.

The “You and Tequila” singer has used the tranquil imagery of beaches throughout his career, which made eagle-eye fans suspect something was in the works.
