Kim Kardashian’s hairstylist is setting the record straight.

On Sunday, Feb. 2,Chris Appletonopened up about Kardashian’s new flipped-up bob hairstyle, which she showed off Feb. 1 while wearing a backless Balmain gown at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles.

“Love this new chop on Kim, we got 7 inches off her hair! (No it’s not a wig before u start lol),” the celebrity hairstylist, 41, said of the SKIMS founder, 44, in anew Instagram postfeaturing a solo shot of Kardashian, a photo of them together and a snap of her chopped-off hair on the ground.

Before the back-to-back bob looks, the businesswomanrocked a ’90s-era hairstyle, complete with high volume, large waves and swooping bangs at the SKIMS holiday party on Dec. 19.

Now, with seven inches of real hair chopped off, Kardashian is committed to the flipped-up bob cut — which hovers around chin length and is styled in a C-shape — at least for now.
