Kylie Kelcesays she doesn’t understand the sentiment that she and husband Jason should try for a boy afterhaving three girls— withanother girl on the way.

The soon-to-be mom of four, 32, resisted the idea that she and theformer Philadelphia Eagles center, 37, should have a boy after having three daughters on theSunday Sports Clubpodcast withAllison Kuchand called it one of the “most infuriating” statements she’s heard from others.

“People put this strange pressure on the idea that my husband is supposed to have a boy because ‘he’s going to follow in his footsteps, and he’s going to be a football player, and he needs to play catch in the yard,’ " Kylie said. “I hate to break it to you, but our kids play catch with him all the time. He’s fine.”

Kuch, 30, also pushed back on the sentiment and shared that people were surprised her husband Issac Rochell got “so excited about having a daughter” and revealed that “we didn’t want a boy to begin with.”

Kylie also said that she thought it was “crazy that people feel inclined [to ask] if we would still try for a boy” while she’s pregnant with their fourth daughter and added that she and Jason were good with having daughters and “got what we’re supposed to.”

Kylie also opened up about having multiple kids after she gave birth to herfirst daughter, Wyatt, who is now 5, in 2019, and she worries about making “the right choice” about having more kids.

“You settle into this comfort zone, and all of a sudden you’re like, ‘oh, we are about to close the lid and shake up the box’ and hope everything’s still intact when we get through this newborn phase,” she explained. “When I was leaving for the induction, I picked up my daughter to say good night to her. It was the first time that she voluntarily kissed me on the cheek, and it was one of those moments where I thought, ‘Oh, this is the universe telling me it’s gonna be okay.’ "

But despite the initial anxiety, Kylie said while it was “sheer chaos” to have three girls, they ended up being “the perfect addition” to the family, and “I’m hoping that number four will be similar.”

Kylie also revealed that she and Jason asked about potentially having a son and were told the only way to guarantee it was through in-vitro fertilization (IVF). But for Kylie, the only thing that mattered was that “I’m getting healthy babies” and that she didn’t “feel the need to influence the universe in that way.”
