Kylie Kelcehas a few tricks up her sleeve when it comes to getting her next pet.
During the March 13 episode of her podcastNot Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, the host, 32, revealed to her guestKat Denningshow she plans to convince her husband,Jason Kelce, to allow a pet cat in their house.
“I am in a great debate with my husband about getting a cat,” Kylie said during the podcast episode. “Our oldest daughter, just the other day, told Dad, ‘We’re going to buy a cat.’ He was like, ‘Kylie, did you tell her we’re going to buy a cat?’ I was like, ‘I swear, I did not. It wasn’t me.'”
Kylie then admitted that she had asked her daughterWyatt, 5, if she “wanted to go to the ASPCA” to rescue a kitten. Kylie and Jason share three children — Wyatt,Elliotte, 4, andBennett, 2 — and areexpecting their fourth daughter.
She also laid out her backup plan during the podcast episode. “One day, I’m just going to take our kids to the local rescue, and I’m going to pick out a cat, and then I’m going to bring the cat home,” she said. “I’m gonna full-commit [and adopt], then I’m going to make sure it’s a day or two where he’s not home, traveling.”

Kylie also noted that if her husband, who she married in 2018, tries to return the animal, he’ll “have four little girls looking at him like, ‘Dad, it’s our cat.'”
However, the mom isn’t shy about letting it be known that the feline ismostly for her benefit. During the Dec. 19 episode of the podcast, she explained to guest host Charissa Thompson ofThursday Night FootballandFox NFL Kickoff, “I hate to break it to you, but the kitten would not be for the girls. The kitten’s for mom.”
She added that her love of animals has been a lifelong passion that started when she was younger.

Kylie even had to figure out how to balance her love for animals with the constant demands of being a mom. “When I started having kids, I realized how much I have to really put an effort in to shift my focus onto my animals because my children take up a lot of my attention,” she told Thompson. “And because of that, I am hyper-aware that it needs to be a very specific timing.”
Of course, now it’s not necessarily timing, but gettingretired Philadelphia Eagle, Jason, to commit to the new addition with the rest of the family. “Believe it or not, I do love and respect my husband,” she explained. “And if he doesn’t want a cat right now, I don’t necessarily wanna do it against his will. I do think there will come a time where we break him down.”
