Nearly five months after the 38-year-old pop superstar teamed up withBruno Marsfor “Die with a Smile,” the romantic ballad reached No. 1 on theBillboardHot 100 on Jan. 6 — and Mother Monster took to social media with some celebrity posts.

“Thank you to all of the monsters and hooligans for helping make “Die With A Smile” #1 on the Billboard Hot 100! We love you and are so grateful,” said the Grammy winner onInstagram, referencing the respective nicknames she and Mars, 39, have given their fans.

Since launching her career, Gaga’sBillboardHot 100 chart-topping success has stretched across three decades. She’s earned No. 1 singles on the chart with “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” in the 2000s, “Born This Way” and “Shallow” in the 2010s and “Rain on Me” and “Die with a Smile” in the 2020s.

In celebration, Mars also took to his Instagram Stories with a graphic about Gaga’s chart achievement.

The “Born This Way” singer also shared a video toInstagramon Jan. 7 and reacted to the success of “Die with a Smile.”

“I am so honored to be an artist and to have had your ears for this long. Thank you for listening and dancing and making your art along with mine. I’m so grateful,” she said in the clip.

“Die with a Smile” was released in August, and the soft rock song finds both vocalists singing about longing to be with a loved one. “If the world was ending, I’d wanna be next to you / If the party was over, and our time on Earth was through / I’d wanna hold you, just for a while / And die with a smile,” they belt on the chorus.

About a week after the track came out, Gaga. wrote on Instagram, “Watching fans from all over the world celebrate this music has meant so much to me, to see the words of the song touch your heart and the video provoke this huge wave of dancing and fun is beautiful to watch and I’m so grateful.”

“Thank you thank you thank you for loving our song i love you for real and I hope the message of love we shared will continue to create special moments for you all in your lives — I know it does in mine every day,” she added. “The power of music is big and your love of this song reminded me of that.”

Gaga followed up “Die with a Smile” with her latest single, “Disease,” in October 2024. Both songs will appear on her upcoming seventh studio album.
