Well, I don’t remember. Probably it would probably be makeup ‘cause I’m always sending somebody out to pick up something that I’ve seen somebody wear. Or I’ll talk to one of my nieces who loves to wear makeup and say, “What is that?” Sometimes I’ll just send somebody out to pick that up. I don’t think of anything as a splurge anyway. If I want it, I just get it.

On my last perfect day, well, I had a day off and I got to spend that whole daywith my husband [Carl Thomas Dean]. I’ve worked so much that we don’t often have all the long, full days that we used to have when life was not as complicated. Anytime I have some time off, that’s always a good day for me and for him, for us to have time off.
I pray and I pee. I usually pee before I pray, because I’m usually praying just as I go out. It’s not always the same prayer, but I always basically just ask God to let me make everybody happy and let me shine with his light and let me love people and let them love me and let that go up where it belongs.

Cleaning the face and putting on the foundation and then putting on the makeup. And probably the very last thing of my makeup routine would be put on the lip gloss.

Some of the old things that I’ve had all these years and somebody says, “You need to get rid of this. You need to get rid of that.” I’ll just say, “You leave me alone. I’ll get rid of that if I ever feel the need to.” It’s more than just one thing.
